Late C18th George III period mahogany urn or kettle stand.

Elegant Georgian mahogany table or stand raised on square tapering legs onto a block foot. The figured mahogany top with a raised bead edge , the frieze fitted with a pull-out slide carrying a brass axe-head drop handle .

The legs having a splayed angle creating both a pleasing visual image and creating added stability. The base of the feet standing 2 inches wider than the top .

A practical table or stand for use perhaps as a lamp or drinks table in a period interior scheme .

In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina. Some minor replacement blocks to underside, bears an old paper repository label .

Has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Ready to use .
