Antique Victorian Carved Oak Settle Hall Bench C1860 Wdb6141/22.11

Description

Stunning antique victorian carved oak settle and dating from around 1860 although you would be forgiven for assuming it was a much earlier piece. It has a carved and moulded frieze top above four beautifully carved panels (tudor rose) with a plank seat with lunette frieze. It has lovely shaped armrests ending with griffin heads on a carved and shaped support. It stands on shaped carved cabriole legs to the front with a paw foot.

Measures: 44" high X seat height 16" X 59" wide X 22" deep

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the quality oak oozing the charm and character of the early gothic oak period.
