N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this French Bronze Mantel Clock to the 19th Century.
This lovely antique mantel clock has a bronze case with a fantastic rich colour and finish. The top of the case is then adorned with a cherub cast in fantastic detail.
the base then has a wreath style edging to the base followed by a further patterned section. Finally the clock case is finished by three beautifully shaped bronze feet.

The dial is then enamel and set out in black Roman numerals as well as every five minutes being set out in black Arabic numerals. The dial then has a lovely gilt surround as well as being signed to the centre by the maker "BELLENOT Bart des capucines PARIS". The dial in then finished by two beautifully shaped hands and a bevelled, domed glass set into a bronze bezel.

The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It ticks away and works as it should and comes complete with its pendulum and winding key. The clock also strikes the number of hours on the hour and once on on the half past via a bell.
It measures approximately:
13.75” / 35cm Tall.
7” / 17.75cm Wide.
5.5” / 14cm Deep.
