~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A stunning original antique French Rococo clock.
Fabric fretted panels lighten the design. Cupid is depicted as a cherub, seated to the top with torch and quiver of arrows, offering a posy of flowers.

The dial porcelain enamel on copper with finely fretted gilt brass hands. The rear door is also glazed to allow the movement to be seen and the clock is decorated in the round allowing you to display on a table or in front of a mirror. The bottom of the pendulum can be glimpsed gently swinging within the case.

The French movement is of high quality and is by A. D. Mougin. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also very good, a very small nibble to the left hand winding hole. We have replaced the fabric with fresh.
