N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock to the 19th Century.
This lovely antique mantel clock has a brass case with a fabulous gilt finish.
To the left of this housing is the. A cast figure depicting a woman wearing a crown which is also cast in beautiful detail. There is then a rectangular base with a fantastic shaped surround. Finally there is a beautiful shaped base with built in feet which finishes the clock perfectly.

The dial is then silvered and painted in black Roman numerals with a thin ring of minutes to the outside. There is then a subsidiary second dial to the centre with every 10 seconds set out in Arabic numerals. The dial is then finished with a lovely shaped surround as well as two lovely shaped fingers.

The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back and ticks away as it should. The movement is a miniature silk suspension example of the upmost quality. The movement is then complete with its pendulum and winding key as well as being stamped by the maker “ROBERT A PARIS”.
It measures approximately:
10” / 25.5cm Tall.
8.25” / 21cm Wide.
3” / 7.5cm Deep.
