Chinoiserie Bergere Suite C 1920

Description

A lovely example of an early 20th c Bergere suite, comprising a three seater sofa and one armchair. The frame is richly decorated with Chinoserie scenes and ornament against a Black background highlighted with gilt details. The frame supported on ball and claw feet.

The cane work is in excellent condition and is still very strong. The upholstery is in Gold velvet with feather filled cushions.

Sofa 92 cm high 162 cm wide 77cm deep

Armchair 88cm high 77cm wide 74cm deep.
