C19th William IV mahogany hall bench or seat will roll or rule ends .

Drawing it’s design inspiration from an ancient classical marble form , the oblong mahogany hall bench or boot-room seat , raised on bold turned and tapering legs . The single-piece mahogany top with a simple moulded edge , the ends of the seat fitted with cylindrical rule rolls with circular paterae detail .

Of free-standing, double-sided form.

In excellent, strong original condition with a consistent rich colour and patina. The top with minor marks , stains and dints commensurate with age, use and purpose.
