Description

A lovely 19th Century pine box Settle. It has a panelled back with traditional wing shaped sides and a square panelled base. It has a thick pine seat which lifts up to reveal a useful storage space below.

It is in very good condition for its age and the pine has a wonderful warm patina with layers of old varnish which has been stripped back and worn over time. There are signs of age and wear, small knocks and marks and old splits but nothing detrimental. The whole piece has been cleaned and given a gentle wax and is ready for use.
