The suite is comprised of an oak extendable drawer leaf dining table on solid turned legs, please note that the side leaves of the table are a darker colour to the centre, due to having had less light exposure over the past 90 years. The six chairs with this set are a comprised of one carver chair and five standard chairs, they are of very solid construction with turned frames, cane backs and drop in seats. The set is even further complemented by a fully functioning bureau bookcase and sideboard & matching wall mirror! The sideboard is of very solid construction with three drawers above three cupboards with shelved interiors. The sideboard is supported on turned legs and stretchers. The matching bureau bookcase is a wonderful piece that offers a wealth of useful storage, with a lead glazed and shelved top section, over a base with drop down front, tooled leather writing surface, pigeonholed interior and further large base drawers. This is a magnificent set that is of extremely solid construction and has stood the test of time. This will set will prove a sound investment and provide many years of pleasure. One or two of the chairs need a little attention to the cane (extra photos can be supplied if required). The suite is priced to allow the purchaser a little room to spend on minor renovation if required, but is still perfectly useable as it is.
