George I Figured Walnut Lowboy in Very Original Condition

Description

Good George I figured walnut lowboy in very original condition; the well figured rectangular top being quarter veneered with herringbone inlay and crossbanding with a slender crossgrain moulded edge above the traditional three drawers being fully oak lined with repeated herringbone banding and overlip moulded edges. Retaining their original brass handles having pierced shaped backplates. The exaggerated shaped apron having slender moulded edge raised on turned tapering legs terminating in original pad feet. The back of the lowboy having the very unusual feature of being veneered so can be used freestanding.

English circa 1720

Good original condition having a good colour and patination.
