Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian brass table lamps typically feature refined neoclassical motifs, including fluted columns, urn shapes, and delicate foliage motifs. Produced between 1901 and 1910, these designs favoured lighter proportions and cleaner lines compared to earlier Victorian lighting.

Edwardian table lamps were predominantly constructed from solid cast or turned brass, often polished or patinated. Fabric shades made from silk, cotton, or linen were commonly paired with metal bases to soften the electric illumination.

Authentic pieces usually display natural surface oxidisation or patina within crevasses, cast construction marks, and original threaded components. Early electric fittings may show evidence of original internal wiring channels or period bayonet bulb holders.

A brass table lamp can be integrated into contemporary spaces by placing it on an office desk, sideboard, or side table. The metallic finish adds warmth, while contrasting shade colours can anchor the lamp within contemporary colour schemes.

Maintain brass table lamps by dusting regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive polishes that can remove natural patina or protective lacquers, and ensure all electrical wiring is inspected by a qualified electrician.
