Andros Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The drawer, side panels & top all benefit from contrasting decorative crossbanding.

The generous brass handles and escutcheon to the generous drawer give a purposeful look to the piece, The top, interestingly, is quartered with a decorative centre lozenge.
The whole piece has a lovely patina, with just one thing to note is that the legs have been ‘tipped’ at some point in its history, as no doubt the original toes suffered from too much exposure to wet floor mopping, but they are not noticeable.
Supplied with working key.
