Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Nineteenth-century French figurative bronzes are defined by detailed realism, romanticised genre subjects, and high-quality casting methods popularized by Parisian foundries during the period.

These sculptures were primarily cast from copper-tin alloy bronze using lost-wax (cire perdue) or sand-casting techniques, followed by hand-chasing and chemical patination to achieve depth of colour.

Authentic period bronzes display crisp hand-chased details, natural casting seams or pins, age-appropriate wear to the patination, and often feature cast signatures or foundry stamps near the base.

Place the sculpture on a marble mantelpiece, a dark wood sideboard, or within a curated bookshelf alcove to provide visual contrast against contemporary backdrops.

Maintain patinated bronze by dusting regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth and applying a thin coat of clear microcrystalline wax annually to protect the surface from oxidisation.
