Victorian Flemish Carved Oak Hall Bench

Description

Circa 1870, Victorian Flemish carved oak hall bench. The sloped back with finely carved panels depicting tavern scenes beneath a foliate carved frieze. The shaped arms culminating in carved lions flanking the lifting seat with storage beneath. The panelled base with carved lion heads, all supported on a carved moulded plinth base.
