Description

Very large early 20th century African Benin tribal bronze maternity statue ,c 1920. This is a very impressive piece one of the largest I have seen. It depicts a central mother figure holding 2 babies and each element is beautifully cast. It is in good original condition and has aged well with good colour/patina. It is cast in the traditional lost wax method and like most older Benin bronzes it has the usual casting holes . Size: 77 cm tall x 36 cm wide x 32cm deep . I will happily ship worldwide, but this is a large and heavy item so please contact me for a bespoke quote for your Country.
