Description:

Here is fine quality and original antique English Victorian solid mahogany and cast brass stick & umbrella hallstand, with attractive small proportions, circa 1850 in excellent original condition. The stand comprises a ring turned central column support, topped with a turned finial, below which is a quartered, revolving metal ring support. The central support connects to the moulded circular base, which retains the original drip tray. The base rests on its original cast brass foliate lions paw feet. This umbrella stand boasts lovely small proportions, making it a very versatile piece, allowing it to be used in even the smallest of spaces. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.

Condition Report:

This circular umbrella stand is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. There is no damage to the finial, support column or cast brass feet. The revolving metal ring support is original and free from damage. The drip tray is also in good condition. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
