The edge of the top has a triple-reeded moulded detail running all the way around and its well-made construction is evident in exposed dowel and mortice & tenon joints. The original, untouched finish has a rich colour and patination with a soft lustre glow. Ideal for a long dining table, or in a hallway or large scullery for the changing and storage of boots and shoes. At a impressive 9' long overall, this stunning bench is stylishly influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement, and is English, c.1900 to c.1925.
