The Canterbury is divided into three compartments, by three rows of simple, straight supports, each row topped with a curved horizontal bar. The compartments are ideal for storing magazines, newspapers or music sheets. Below is a drawer, which features old replacement brass knobs (likely to have been replaced during the Victorian period) and is mahogany lined, constructed with hand dovetailing. The Canterbury is raised on its original turned legs which retain the original brass castor collars and wheels. The Canterbury has been constructed from the finest mahogany timbers.
