George II Oak and Walnut Lowboy

18th century
Description

Circa 1740, George II oak and walnut inlay low-boy. With rectangular, solid top with moulded edge above a full length, beaded drawer with walnut panel and framed in boxwood and ebony, and cast brass handles. The drawer is lined in oak and beneath is a shaped apron, leading on to cabriole legs with a beaded fore-edge, finishing on pad feet. The main body of the lowboy is in walnut.
