Description

In 1908 passion, craftsmanship and dedication were not in short supply in 'EAL's workshop. There was certainly love in the air - they obviously adored garden flowers, woodcarving and more than likely the recipient of this unique oak settle. They were rightly proud of their endeavours as the inscription to the top rail indicates. I really enjoyed restoring this settle it was a privilege to work on something that obviously meant a great deal to its creator - sensitively removing the dark degraded finish to enhance the beautiful carved oak panels beneath.

As the name suggests this oak box settle has a hinged seat to reveal a useful storage area.
