Victorian Figured Walnut Canterbury Whatnot

Description

Victorian Figured Walnut Canterbury Whatnot. The quarter veneered top having bowfront front and back with serpentine sides also having scrolled handle grips and cross veneered chamfered edge. This sitting on dual reverse C scrolls topped by a carved panelled shaped frieze with a drop finial also having a raised finial to base. The 3 division canterbury base being the same shape as top with raised corner finials above turned supports flanking fret cut scrolled decoration and twin turned supports to ends. The cross division rails also held by turned supports. Mahogany lined hidden base drawer with shaped apron matching the reverse side. All on tall 'Mushroom' legs with brass cap castors.
