Description

An incredibly useful wall-mounted general purpose shelf, which would make superb console table in a hallway. This high quality piece, sometimes referred to as a butler's shelf, is comprised of a single Georgian table leaf supported on a pair of beautifully shaped brackets with discreet solid brass fixing plates. It has an untouched original finish throughout, with a rich, warm colour, and a richly glowing natural patina. English, c.19th century.
