Original Retro has dated this Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock to the 19th Century.
This is a very nice gilt bronze mantle clock by Phillipe H. Mourey (French 1840-1910)

around it's neck and jumps up to the putto.
Next to the putto lays a quiver with arrows.
The gilt base what stands on large bun feet is decorated with strings of flowers.
The white enameled dial has roman numerals and blued hands, a small nips next to the winding holes.

The eight day movement is by Jappe Freres.
A signature of P.H. Mourey is found at the back of the clock with the numbers 2 and 64, this is most probably the date of manufacture, February 1864.
The eight day movement strikes on the half and full hour on a silvered bell.
The clock has been restored a few years ago to is former glory.
