Early 20th Century Double Sided Bakers Table

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Browns Antiques and Reclamation

Very unusual early 20th century double sided bakers table.

The base is constructed of pine with ply panels to the sides. It has original lacquer finish which has worn and mellowed over the years.

The top is made from sycamore and has just been cleaned and left in its natural state leaving a fantastic smooth finish with great natural colour.

A few old wormholes in the top. They are not active but as a precaution they have been recently treated. No signs of any worm activity in the base.

One side has 9 drawers, the top 3 being zinc lined used for proving the dough. All are complete with original iron handles. The reverse is open sided (a shelf could be fitted if desired).

Stands on replacement bun feet. Would originally have had large casters.
