Regency Rosewood Canterbury (Magazine Rack)

Description

An impressive Regency period rosewood CANTERBURY (or magazine rack) of larger than usual size and of robust construction.

It features three central divisions with iconic solid rosewood "X" framed supports to the front, back and sides. These are centred with turned roundels, which are repeated to the corners of the top as shallow finials. The frieze is fitted with a mahogany-lined drawer and it is raised on pretty turned rosewood feet with original brass castors. 24ins wide; 18.5ins deep; 20 ins high. (61 x 47 x 51cms)
