Serpentine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The galleried sides have ebony top edges. The tray is lifted with lovely twin cast brass handles, and the back is lined with baize.
The whole sits on a solid mahogany x-frame stand, that folds up if not required.
Size:tray-30.5 inches long by 19.75 inches wide by 32 inches high. Stand size when closed-36 inches high by 5 inches wide.
This butlers tray on stand makes a wonderful occasional table to use in any room, and is very useful for serving tea, drinks, or food. It is a bar, a side cabinet, or a serving tray, and allows serving to be done anywhere. It is a very functional and decorative room accent, and a most unusual antique piece.
