Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Regency card table is a piece of English furniture made during the early nineteenth century designed for social gaming. These tables feature a hinged, fold-over top that swivels and opens to double the surface area.

Regency card tables were predominantly crafted from figured rosewood or mahogany veneers applied over solid oak or pine carcasses. The interiors often feature green or blue baize playing surfaces and brass castors on the feet.

Authentic Regency card tables display characteristic features of the period, including sabre legs, brass capped castors, scroll carvings, and rich rosewood grain patterns. Examining the underside reveals hand-cut dovetails and historic swivelling hinge mechanisms.

When closed, a Regency card table functions effectively as a hall or console table positioned against a wall. Styling options include placing a lamp, decorative ceramics, or framed artwork on the top surface.

Maintain the surface by wiping it gently with a dry microfibre cloth and applying a high-grade natural beeswax twice a year. Keep the table away from direct sunlight and radiators to prevent the wood veneer from drying or fading.
