Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Regency period card tables, produced in Britain between approximately 1810 and 1830, are characterized by classical proportions, dark exotic timber veneers such as rosewood, fold-over swivel tops, and central pedestal supports terminating in splayed legs.

These tables were primarily crafted using rosewood or mahogany veneers over solid oak or pine carcasses, frequently accented with brass stringing, cast brass foot caps, and brass castors.

Authentic pieces display hand-cut dovetail joints, original brass castors secured with square-headed screws, natural oxidation on the underside of timber surfaces, and a swivel mechanism for the fold-over top.

Positioned closed against a wall, a card table functions as a console or side table to display ceramics or table lamps, and can be pivoted open when needed for additional surface area.

Maintain rosewood furniture by keeping it away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent veneer lifting or fading, dusting with a dry microfibre cloth, and applying beeswax polish sparingly once or twice a year.
