Circa 1860, large impressive Gothic monks bench made in walnut with fine linen fold. It has a lift up seat and 2 panels to the front of the bench with fine Gothic carvings. The bench has a finely carved back surmounted by pediment with open carvings and Renaissance type figures. It was most likely produced in France.
