William IV Fiddleback Mahogany Whatnot

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Prometheus Antiques

A lovely quality three tier fiddleback mahogany whatnot, on turned supports and legs, with original Cope and Collinson castors. The whole is typical of the simple, good quality, elegant furniture of the William IV period. The whatnot is very sturdy and usable and does have some marks, which show up in the photographs more than in life. The whatnot is typical of faded and used country house quality antique furniture, and has a good colour and patina, it would be perfect for the end of a sofa. C.1835.
