Description

Early 20th.c. carved oak monk’s bench hall seat by the great Waring & Gillow c.1920. Two panel backrest, barley twist arm supports and legs and a four panel front with applied mouldings. Useful storage below the lift up seat. The backrest folds and slides forward to make a table top. Stamped for Waring and Gillow Liverpool plus a retailer’s label from Wolfe’s of Birkenhead.

Dimensions: width 39", depth 20", height 31"/38".
