Victorian 19th Century walnut acanthus Canterbury magazine rack. This is a lovely item, that is full of age, charm and character. An attractive and rare piece with beautiful fretwork and carving. Solid, no loose joints or wobbles. Mahogany lined drawer that slides freely. Period castors with some wear (as you would expect). Great age and patina (not over restored).

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations. Some veneer imperfections, as one would expect. Historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. Rear legs are very slightly smaller (hard to spot) in diameter than the front (could be correct, or indicate replacement).

Overall maximum dimensions: 53cm wide, 39cm deep (+ handle), 55cm high.
