Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
All made entirely in walnut which is a superb colour, this is a very rare set of antique campaign furniture by Ross & Co, Camp furniture manufacturers, Ellis Quay, Dublin.
The six balloon back dining chairs completely come apart as does the daybed. Each piece of antique campaign furniture contains an inlaid brass makers plaque for Ross & Co.
The daybed is in very good condition with all the brass cup castors being present.
The antique military chiffonier has a drawer over two cupboard doors, on the back of one door is an original paper label with instructions on how to pack the entire suite into the chiffonier .
The chiffonier is left in the original, unfinished condition on the top and sides as it would have been covered with a cloth. The feet unscrew off as does the top display shelves and back.
A very rare and special suite of 19th Century Irish antique walnut campaign furniture, made to travel and set up whilst on a military campaign.
All in very good original condition, now in Miles Griffiths antiques showrooms.
