Here we have a rare Victorian period Carpathian settle c1850. As you can see the settle has wonderful colour and patina. It is rare to find settles of this quality in such fantastic original paint. Importantly the settle is free from any worm or worm damage often associated with these type of settles. There is a lovely shaped top rail in thick heavy pine with two painted panels in the back. The arms are beautifully scrolled in shape and also have paneled sections. The base has a wonderful thick pine lid revealing great storage space and original candle or herb box. The interior also retains the original hand forged iron lock and forged iron hinges. This fantastic piece of interior design is in great retail condition and ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 86 inches long 22 deep and 42 high.
