A W&h Quarter Striking Bracket Clock

Description

A lovely arts & crafts bracket clock from the aesthetic period. The clock is made by Winterhalder & Hoffmeier a highly regard German maker.

The golden-oak case is nicely polished with a rich, deep patina. It has a spindle gallery to the top and nicely carved columns to the front, with additional carving to the lower front.

The square brass dial has a matted centre, nicely gilded spandrels to the corners and a silvered chapter ring with black engraved Roman numerals.

The 8 day movement strikes with a two tone strike on the quarters and the hours on a different gong. It has just been fully overhauled by our BHI registered staff.

A quality clock at a very realistic price.
