Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

RAF officers mess clocks were military timepieces produced during the mid-20th century, typically featuring robust oak casings and the official Royal Air Force crest printed on the dial for service rely in RAF bases.

These timepieces were predominantly built with solid oak or mahogany wooden cases, fitted with brass bezels, glass crystal covers, and reliable mechanical movements engineered for durability.

Authentic period military clocks generally feature official branch insignia or military markings on the dial, house heavy-duty mechanical movements, and demonstrate natural ageing across the timber case and metal dial surround.

A vintage military clock brings historic character when styled on a dark wood mantelpiece, a classic bookcase, or an executive office desk alongside leather-bound books and brass decorative objects.

Position the clock away from direct sunlight and central heating sources to avoid wood shrinkage or cracking, dust the case gently with a dry cloth, and have the mechanical movement periodically inspected by a horologist.
