Victorian, Rustic Pine, Antique Kitchen Dresser Base.

This very usable vintage dresser base is constructed from pine and dates from the late Victorian period, circa 1890. It has a raised shaped back over a rectangular top below which can be found two drawers with brass handles above two cupboard doors having fielded panelled fronts. The interior of the cupboard provides plenty of storage space whether used in a kitchen, hall or even a bathroom (it would be an ideal unit to support a pair of sinks in a vintage bathroom perhaps, as once suggest by Kirstie Allsop). It stands on a mould plain plinth and has aged to a soft, light shade of pine with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
