An Early 19thc Small Faux Chest

Description

An interesting and useful piece of furniture which would be suitable beside a bed, a lamp table, end of sofa table or even as occasional seating !

It has a drawer to the base additional storage accessed by a pull down flap and the top lifts to reveal storage which can be used as an occasional seat.

This piece has undergone alterations over the years to provide its current form. Made in mahogany it stands well and appears as a faux chest with brass pulls to each section. Looking at the underside it becomes clear that it was originally constructed in early 1800's

63.5cm wide by 48 deep by 77cm high.
