Steve Sly Japanese Works of Art has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The condition is lovely and the inlay is as good as it gets , as you can see from the photos there are a couple of dark patches at either end of the top tier , this is because it would have had a glass top with handles , there are also one or two minor blemishes from everyday use , there are however no splits , warps or cracks and this is a substantial piece being almost 3 foot in length and in good enough condition to grace any home.
