Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Imagine, a private members boxing club, above a pub in Newcastle.
In a smoke and tension filled room, the audience sat around the boxing ring on these actual pine seats/benches.
It is true, these are the origins of where this fabulous, surround seating came from.
The only trouble was removing it, as it was made in one continuous circular ish section.
So, we divided the pine seating into six sections, which were then removed from the members boxing club via an upstairs window!
The boxing ring seating is made from solid yellow pine, complete with the old worn paint.
The seats are slatted and curved, so comfy to sit on.
The pine legs are turned and each section can now free stand.
When the antique boxing ring seating is put together, it makes a U shaped, which would have surrounded three sides of the boxing ring.
In very good, solid condition.

Dimensions: Bench with two arms: 225cm wide. Bench with one arm: 223cm wide. Bench long, no arms: 280cm wide. Bench short, no arms: 172cm wide. Two x curved benches: each 165cm wide approx. All benches are: 99cm high x 60cm deep. Seats: 47cm high.
