The raised scroll-form back is centred by a carved shell motif, above a long central frieze drawer flanked by a pair of deep drawers. Each pedestal incorporates a panelled cupboard door. The pedestal cupboards are enclosed by panelled doors framed by finely turned spiral columns, one retaining its fitted cellarette divisions for the storage of bottles.
The sideboard retains brass ring handles and is raised on square tapering legs terminating in castors.
A particularly useful example of the Regency pedestal sideboard, combining generous storage with relatively compact proportions at 162cm wide and just 47cm deep.
The sideboard separates into sections, making it considerably easier to transport and position within the home.

The sideboard is in good, honest condition overall, with marks, knocks, scratches and wear commensurate with age and use.
