Marble Top Gueridon Centre Table C.1860

Description

Handsome mid 19th.c. French marble top gueridon or centre table c.1860. Very well figured grey marble top (38" diameter) with raised moulded edge of concentric rings designed to stop spilt liquids from running over the sides. Walnut veneered apron with inlaid satinwood stringing. Bulbous hexagonal pedestal and tripod base with matched walnut veneers, also inlaid and with crisp scroll carved detail. Raised on carved claw feet. Wear and repairs to the veneers on the apron, otherwise excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
