A Victorian swept frame mirror features outwardly curving edges with elaborate rococo-inspired moulding, typically crafted using timber and gesso composition coated in gold leaf.

These mirrors were constructed with soft timber frames coated in plaster of Paris or gesso, detailed with moulded composition ornament, and finished with hand-applied gold leaf.
