Antique Mahogany Corner Cupboard

Description

An antique mahogany corner cupboard in two sections, featuring a moulded cornice above a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing three shaped shelves with lined interior. The lower section is fitted with a pair of fielded panel cupboard doors enclosing a shelved cupboard. Raised on a shaped plinth base and finished in a rich mahogany.

CONDITION REPORT:

Good antique condition with age-related wear throughout, including surface marks, light scratches and minor knocks consistent with years of use. The mahogany has developed a rich, even patina and the cupboard remains structurally sound. There are some historic small losses around the lower plinth and base corners, along with minor veneer wear in places. The interior retains its decorative lining, which shows some age-related fading and wear. The glazed doors, shelves and lower cupboard doors all function well. Overall, this is a solid, attractive and highly usable antique corner cupboard with plenty of character.
