A Georgian dressing mirror, historically termed a toilet glass, is a free-standing tabletop mirror produced during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. It typically features a swivel mirror mounted above a small wooden base containing drawers designed for storing cosmetics, grooming utensils, or jewellery.

These mirrors were predominantly constructed using solid mahogany or mahogany veneers, often highlighted with satinwood stringing inlay. The original glass plates were silvered using a mercury process, while small turned knobs and escutcheons were commonly made from bone, brass, or ivory.

Authentic period pieces exhibit hand-cut dovetail joinery in the small base drawers, oxidisation on the pine or oak secondary drawer linings, and natural foxing on the glass plate. The swivelling mechanism is usually secured with traditional brass hardware or wooden threaded pegs.
