Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this Royal Worcester Cabinet Plate to the 1960s.
The centre is finely hand-painted and signed by Royal Worcester artist Brian Leaman, depicting two peaches and clusters of blackberries resting on blackberry leaves against the characteristic mossy ground.
Brian Leaman joined Royal Worcester in 1969 and specialised in the factory's traditional Painted Fruit style. Trained under the distinguished fruit painter John Freeman, he continued this important artistic tradition through finely executed still-life compositions of peaches, grapes, apples, pears and other fruits. Signed works by recognised Royal Worcester fruit painters are generally more desirable to collectors than comparable unsigned examples.
The scrolling foliate ornament, floral garlands and intricate acid-etched gilding are characteristic of Royal Worcester's finest cabinet porcelain. Equally noteworthy is the complete absence of wear to the gilt foot rim on the reverse, indicating that the plate has been preserved as a cabinet display piece rather than used for regular table service.
The reverse bears the official gold Royal Worcester Fine Bone China factory backstamp with the registered trademark symbol.

Condition:
Outstanding original cabinet condition. Examined under UV light, no evidence of restoration, repairs, chips or cracks was detected. The hand-painted decoration, enamels, cobalt blue ground and extensive gilt decoration remain in exceptional original condition, with no discernible signs of use.
