A Fine London 8 day antique "Strike/Silent" Mahogany Longcase Grandfather clock

Made by the renowned clock maker Benjamin Taylor of London

Figured Mahogany case in good original condition, dating to circa 1760-80.

The clock with its original Brass & Silvered dial with working seconds and calendar dials.

Striking the hours on a bell, subsidiary strike silent dial to the arch to silence the bell strike on demand

5 pillar rack and snail strike, recoil escapement movement in excellent condition

Stunning long figured Mahogany door with lock and key

Brass piping to the hood and case pillars. hood door with lock and key
