The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this Antique Full Hunter Pocket Watch to the 1930s.
The watch has a 15-jewel Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement has the mark for the Urania Watch Company. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The front of the watch has the original owner’s initials, very ornate, more like a pattern than initials. The front and sides of the case are in good condition, the hinged case back has a small “ding”, a little unevenness and light marking.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover, which opens a little further than the usual 90 degrees. The inside of the front cover has a later inscription, ‘W J Tranter, 1969’, possibly a descendant of the original owner as the ornate initials appear to include the letter T.

The acrylic lens is in lovely condition (some white natural light reflection showing in the main photo).
The dial is in lovely condition. Original hands but the blued steel finish has come off or faded on the minute hand.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
