In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Mythological bronze groups depicting figures like Silenus, Pan, and Nereids originated in classical antiquity and saw significant revivals during the Renaissance and French Baroque periods, often created as decorative bronzes for private collections and library displays.

Traditional bronze sculptures were typically cast using the lost-wax (cire perdue) process or sand casting methods, followed by hand-chasing to refine anatomical detail and the application of a chemical patina to achieve tonal depth.

Authentic castings often exhibit detailed hand-finishing, natural wear to raised edges revealing underlying base metal, casting seam lines where components were joined, and distinct weight consistent with solid or thick-walled bronze.

Classical bronzes integrate well into contemporary spaces when placed as a focal point on a mantelpiece, styled alongside books on a shelf, or positioned atop a minimalist console table to highlight contrast.

Dust bronze regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or horsehair brush, avoiding chemical cleaners or abrasive polishes that damage the patina, and apply a thin layer of microcrystalline wax periodically for protection.
