K0516 A Superb French 19th Century Giltwood Wall Mirror, Circa 1870

A highly decorative French antique wall mirror, c.1870. The profusely carved giltwood frame is adorned with floral, leaf, and scroll motifs throughout, and retains its original gilding with sensitive minor touching up and natural oxidation from age. The mirror plate is extensively foxed, giving a soft, atmospheric reflection that adds charm and sophistication to any interior. Fitted with four secure hanging brackets, it can be positioned vertically or horizontally. This is a true statement piece which would grace both antique and contemporary interior. Good antique condition throughout. Original giltwood with minor restoration, original extensively foxed glass. No missing carving. Structurally sound and ready to place.
